Election Anomalies

Governance issues identified from Arizona Attorney General's Office 2020 General Election Investigation of Arizona Senate allegations of Maricopa County Election Department - Drop Box Collections issues.

This Green Book Attribute, 13.04, emphasizes timeliness. Consider the following statement, "Management obtains or generates relevant data from reliable internal and external sources in a timely manner based on the identified information requirements."

In the AZ AG's inspector's report, the USPS inspector explains that a single data file of the 56,226 were delivered to MC for the purposes of invalidating the early ballot based on it being undeliverable. However, the data file would not have been timely if the USPS waited to accumulate the list of 56,226 undeliverable early ballots; the election polls would have already been closed and fraudulent ballots already counted. See the heading Noteworthy: Transmission of USPS Data to MC and Runbeck from Maricopa Dropbox Collection (2020) webpage for additional details.
